JR Training Services has marked the launch of a new programme of training provision offered by the firm.
The company welcomed 16 delegates to participate in the inaugural course, in partnership with G&A Wilson, which delivered the NEBOSH certified Working with Wellbeing Course.
The NEBOSH level qualification looks at workplace wellbeing at both an individual and organisational level. It was designed for those seeking a greater understanding of workplace wellbeing and the factors that affect it including human resources, health and safety, occupational health, or anyone with people management responsibilities.
Ronnie Charters led the training. He has 35 years of construction industry experience, including health and safety advisor, trainer and assessor roles at the National Construction College CITB. He is currently NASC regional chair for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Ronnie said, “Our first training course was a long time in the making and it was a real landmark moment to see it brought to fruition. Workplace wellbeing is an incredibly hot topic across all industries just now and the delegates really enjoyed getting a better understanding of what this actually means and what measures can be put in place to increase wellbeing whilst at work and spot the signs that some of your colleagues might be struggling.
“The session was incredibly impactful, and we were delighted by the initial feedback we received. We now look forward to rolling out our wider programme of training services and modules and look forward to growing this business and making a meaningful impact in the knowledge skills and confidence of our people within the industry.”
