Glasgow firm recruits new apprentice plumbers

GLASGOW-based Alexander Group has appointed three apprentice plumbers.

Declan Gallagher, Kieran Malone and Liam Edgar will undertake class-based training at Glasgow Clyde College’s Cardonald campus, as well as practical training within the company’s M&E division.

On successful completion of their apprenticeship, the trio will be awarded an SVQ Level 3 certificate in plumbing & heating.

Stewart Alexander, MD of Alexander Group, said, “We had great interest in our apprenticeship programme this year, but Declan, Kieran and Liam showed real enthusiasm and commitment, as well as competently passing their entrance tests, and we’re delighted to welcome them to the team.”

The company’s apprenticeship programme recruits annually for its plumbing, electrical and fire & security divisions and takes pride in offering employment to these apprentices once qualified.
