Multi-utilities contractor set to enter care sector for first time

MULTI-utilities contractor Arc-Tech MU, has revealed it will take its first steps into the care sector this summer with works at Dalgety Bay Luxury Suites in Dunfermline.

The Glasgow-based business will undertake a suite of gas, water and electrical-based service installations to support the creation of a 68-bed care home on behalf of Morrison Community Care (CCG) Holdco Ltd, a joint venture company led by Morrison Community Care Group and contractor CCG (Scotland).

The development will offer people aged over 65 private en-suite rooms, access to residential, nursing, and dementia care services, and a range of amenities including a hair salon, cinema, dining rooms, and private resident’s grounds.

Arc-Tech MU said it has established a strong foothold in the residential sector since its formation in 2020 with over 1,400 new homes benefitting from their services. MD Josh Martin has now heralded the importance of the site start of Dalgety Bay as being ‘integral’ to the firm’s future offering.

He said, “Scotland has a growing ageing population; modern, quality accommodation is in short supply across the country and that is why it is hugely important to the wider economy that we focus on accommodating the needs of the elderly. In that respect, we are privileged to be involved in Dalgety Bay alongside two leading developers.

“Being involved in this development will be instrumental to us moving forward as the market for more care homes and specialist accommodation continues to grow”

The news comes at a time when the business has reached another milestone in its recruitment programme with the appointment of two new members of staff in Glasgow.

Ryan Cook is an experienced CAD technician and Kirsty Robinson will provide administrative services for the company, with both offering additional support for the business’ pre-contract and operations teams.

Josh added, “I am delighted to have welcomed Ryan and Kirsty to our team. Arc-Tech MU is a growing business but we have high standards and our two new members are vital components to ensure we continue to provide a quality service to our clients. It’s an exciting time and I look forward to seeing how our team progresses over what will be a very busy period in the coming months and years.”
