‘Uplifting’ new homes delivered at former school site in Kirkcaldy

WHITEBURN has announced the launch of the first new properties for sale at its development of 72 new two, three and four-bedroom homes and 15 affordable homes in the grounds of the former Viewforth High School in Kirkcaldy.

The developer said initial demand for this site is ‘strong’ with all three properties in the first release sold to buyers who had pre-registered their interest in the development.

Toria Jones, sales manager for Viewforth, said, “We are very excited to have launched homes for sale, and buyers can now reserve their property off-plan. Viewforth offers contemporary and stylish living within an established residential area in Kirkcaldy. The development enjoys the most incredible views towards the Firth of Forth and is a short walk from Ravenscraig Park and the historic Dysart Harbour.”

MD Eve McCurrich believes Whiteburn’s emphasis on placemaking and regeneration will capitalise on the location of Viewforth and create ‘uplifting’ new homes. She added, “Our key objective is to breathe new life into this part of Kirkcaldy and to create a great place for people to live.

“The regeneration of the land shows our commitment to sustainable development, creating sustainable development in the heart of existing communities. Our new homes are built to a fantastic specification, giving homeowners the comfort of energy efficient homes and low maintenance costs.

“As an SME we value each of our customers and provide excellent service. We have recently asked for feedback from our homeowners, receiving fantastic testimonials which are on our web site.”

Whiteburn Group has secured investment from Housing Growth Partnership with an injection of £1.5 million from its £300 million property fund for SME developers. It is also the first investment by HGP that will contribute to the delivery of Whiteburn’s new homes at Viewforth in Fife.
