MAXI Construction has announced it has landed a £2.5m contract from Scottish Borders Council for the construction of Hawick Business Centre, a new three-storey business space hub for small businesses.
The facility will be constructed across three floors, providing office spaces with communal kitchen facilities, benefiting from natural lighting, natural ventilation and fibre connectivity.
John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s MD, said, “We’re looking forward to working with Scottish Borders Council and the project team to deliver a new modern building within Hawick town centre for the benefit of local small and start-up businesses.”
The project team includes Turner & Townsend (project manager and quantity surveyor); Aitken Turnbull (architect); Goodson Associates (civil & structural engineer); and Blackwood Partnership (MEP engineer).
