THE JR Group has donated more than 1,000 chocolate eggs to a selection of charities ahead of Easter weekend.
Staff, suppliers and subcontractors all donated to the haul of eggs, which tops the Paisley-headquartered firm’s previous donation of 800 eggs last year.
The treats have been distributed amongst the following seven different charities in Glasgow, Ayrshire, Fife, and West Lothian – Shettleston Growing Project; Team Jak Foundation in Livingston; Ayr Boswell Kids’ Football Club; The Cottage Family Centre in Fife; Kindness Homeless Street Team in Glasgow; Cherry Tree Nursery in Ayr; and Dumbarton Road Corridor Youth Project in Yoker.
Gayle O’Hear, construction administration manager, said, “It’s amazing to build on last year’s donation with even more Easter eggs collected. We’re delighted to be able to gift more than 1,000 chocolate eggs ahead of the school holidays thanks to our kind-hearted team members, suppliers and subcontractors.
“Unfortunately, there are so many children living in difficult circumstances who, without help from local charities and foodbanks, may go without a simple Easter treat that so many take for granted. We’re proud to play our part in ensuring as many kids as possible will benefit from our donation and would like to thank everyone who contributed.
“We’ve had such wonderful feedback from the beneficiaries of the donations, and we’re proud to make even a small difference to the children who benefit from the work of each of the charities in Glasgow, Fife, Ayrshire and West Lothian.”
