HARDIES Property & Construction Consultants has confirmed the appointment of Natalie James as head of retail for the UK.
Experienced in project management, quantity surveying and construction health & safety, Mrs James will operate from Hardies’ new Leeds office. Having started her career as a QS, she joined ASDA 12 years ago as project manager before moving to its property construction health & safety team.
Natalie James said, “I’m delighted to oversee Hardies’ rapidly expanding retail division across our 13 strong office network throughout the length and breadth of the UK. Having identified the changing landscape of the post-pandemic retail sector as an area ripe for growth, with pent-up demand for innovation in the build environment, Hardies is already generating large volumes of work in retail consultancy services across the UK. I am confident these can be enhanced significantly with a strategic co-ordinated UK-wide approach.”
Danny McArthur, Hardies’ senior partner, added, “As one of our key clients, we knew Natalie well and are delighted to secure her appointment as head of our retail division. This appointment consolidates our experience of providing national coverage with our operations spanning the very south of England to the very north of Scotland and across Ireland as we position ourselves as the firm of choice for clients seeking a supplier of large volume surveys.”
Leeds is one of three new offices across the UK announced by Hardies last month, the other two being Belfast and London, taking its office network to 13 locations.
The new offices form the first phase of a development strategy following a series of major project wins across the UK and Ireland over recent years.
