GRAHAM has announced that work is underway on the delivery of the £62 million Candleriggs Square project in Glasgow.
The contractor said the project is incorporated into the ‘once-in-a-generation’ regeneration of Candleriggs Quarter in the Merchant City district. GRAHAM has been appointed by Drum Property Group as one of the contractors to deliver the £300 million phased regeneration scheme which combines residential accommodation, offices, hotels, restaurants and local amenities, together with landscaping, walkways and a new public square.
The build comprises the design and construction of a 17-storey structure that will accommodate 346 Build To Rent (BTR) residential units, featuring a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom properties, including six duplex penthouse apartments.
The building will also house a communal dining space, gym, business lounge and games room, and will feature associated public amenities, retail shells and car parking areas.
The site had lain derelict for more than a decade.
The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2024.

The 3.6-acre, phased regeneration programme is led by joint venture developers, Drum Property Group and Stamford Property Investments.

GRAHAM is currently working with Drum Property Group on four separate projects as part of the £500 million Buchanan Wharf development on the south bank of the River Clyde.
