Nursery projects add to Maxi’s education buildings portfolio

MAXI Construction has announced the firm has secured over £3 million worth of contracts from Stirling Council for new and extended nursery facilities at Braehead, Drymen and Strathblane.

Two new 200 square metre timber frame nurseries will be built at Braehead and Drymen, while Strathblane nursery will be remodelled and extended. The nurseries will provide both internal and external play spaces together with ancillary facilities including kitchen areas, toilets and cloakrooms.

John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s MD, said, “The award of these contracts allows us to add to our extensive experience in the construction of early years education buildings. We look forward to working with Stirling Council and the project teams to deliver these facilities for the local communities.”

The project teams include principal designer Currie & Brown, architect Atkins, quantity surveyor Robinson Low Francis, consulting engineers Stantec and Curtins, and building services engineer Davie & McCulloch.
