BUILDING Services contractor Arc-Tech (Scotland) has announced its intake of trade apprenticeships for 2022 with six recruits set to join the business this August.
The firm has grown over the past five years to become a leading provider of M&E services for new build construction in Scotland. Arc-Tech now boasts an annual turnover in excess of £20 million and employs over 100 tradespeople and technical staff.
23 trade apprentices and two adult trainees are currently employed within the business.
Arc-Tech’s latest recruits will embark upon a four-year programme in heating engineering, electrical, and plumbing trades with a part-theory, part–applied learning process adopted in partnership with colleges and undertaken alongside Arc-Tech’s site teams.
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech (Scotland) MD, said, “Arc-Tech (Scotland) take great pride in being able to announce our trade apprentice intake for 2022. Since our establishment, we have remained committed to youth employment and training because, in an industry where skilled labour is at a premium, the added value that apprenticeships can bring to the longer-term future of our business is recognised.
“To continue our intake for another year is a great achievement but there is much more to Arc-Tech as our apprentices and indeed all of our employees are also afforded with a culture of continuous development. In 2021, our very first trade apprentices from 2017 graduated from their four-year programme and all three joined us as full-time members of staff. We also offer additional training and advanced learning to support our more experienced team members which we see as an equally important function to professional advancement.
“I look forward to welcoming our new recruits in August and extend my best wishes to all apprentices taking their first steps in their careers this year.”
