A ‘meet the contractor’ event is to be held in Scone and Luncarty ahead of BAM Nuttall beginning works on the build of the new £118 million Cross Tay Link Road.
The project will see the construction of a new three-span bridge over the River Tay and six kilometres of new road linking the A9 and A93 to Blairgowrie and the A94 north of Scone, as well as the realignment of two kilometres of dual carriageway on the A9.
BAM Nuttall will have staff on hand to answer questions at the two-day event, alongside presentation material for the public to look through. The event will also offer the opportunity to sign up for two new community groups that will become a sounding board for the project.
William Diver, project director at BAM Nuttall, said, “We are looking to establish two new groups on either side of the River Tay, each will be used by the project team to feedback local views on how the project is developing. In particular we will want input into how the wider community benefits projects that are integral to the success of the Cross Tay Link Road project can be realised.”
The ‘meet the contractor’ events will take place in Luncarty Memorial Hall on Thursday 17 March from 3pm – 7pm and the Robert Douglas Memorial Hall, Scone on Tuesday 22 March from 3pm – 7pm.
