ROBERTSON Partnership Homes is set to build 32 affordable homes on behalf of Stirling Council in the Raploch area of the city.
A further 36 homes will also be delivered by Forth Housing Association at the former Gowanhill Gardens site in Raploch, which was demolished around 2007.
Work on the 68 new homes is set to begin later this year, with the local authority saying they will act as a new neighbourhood in the area upon completion.
It added that the new council homes will be ‘amongst the most energy efficient houses in Stirling’ – with them featuring solar panels and battery storage, as well as an A-rated energy performance certificate.
Housing portfolio holder at Stirling Council, councillor Jim Thomson, said, “This regeneration programme is an important initiative in improving the quality of life for many residents by helping to ensure everyone has housing that meets their needs. These projects will also help secure new and existing jobs and training opportunities in the construction sector for our businesses and residents.”
