Offsite solution specified for Glasgow BTR bathroom pods

OFFSITE Solutions has landed a £3 million contract to manufacture 588 bathroom pods for its third build-to-rent (BTR) neighbourhood for Moda Living.

Holland Park in Glasgow, currently under construction by Robertson Group, is on the site of the former Strathclyde Police HQ and will provide 433 studios and one, two and three-bedroom apartments in four blocks up to 19 storeys, arranged around a landscaped courtyard.

The scheme is designed by Haus Collective and Ryder Architecture.

James Stephens, MD of Offsite Solutions, said, “We were engaged by Robertson and Moda at the early design stages of this project to develop the use of offsite construction for the shower rooms, en-suites and bathrooms. This collaboration has really optimised the benefits of offsite manufacturing and gives the client and main contractor greater certainty of cost and programme, as well as simplified procurement and improved quality.”

Offsite Solutions previously made bathroom pods for Moda’s Angel Gardens development  in Manchester and The Lexington in Liverpool. The firm revealed it has developed the steel-framed bathroom, shower and en-suite pods to Moda’s high specification, which includes contemporary light grey porcelain tiling, square wall-mounted wash hand basin, wall-hung toilet, brushed steel accessories, heated towel rail, and recessed, colour-matched cabinetry.
