KILMARNOCK-headquartered McConnell has revealed the business has strengthened its principal contracting capabilities and is on course to achieve revenues exceeding £20 million.
The business, which provides refurbishment, modernisation and planned maintenance services across the UK, underwent a recent relaunch and opened a further two offices, including one in East Kilbride.
McConnell said it has seen ‘significant success and growth’ over the past three-and-a-half years. The firm revealed its strategy to carry out more main contract refurbishment works has gained ‘real traction’ and enabled the business to evolve into a mainstream multi-disciplinary principal contractor whilst still supporting its roofing, cladding and coatings divisions.
Projects carried out in the past 12 months include the hangar refurbishment at RAF Lossiemouth, external fabric upgrades for Perth & Kinross Council, and the energy efficiency EWI programme for East Ayrshire Council and The Energy Agency.
McConnell has also secured places as appointed contractors on a number of frameworks with partner organisations including SPA (Scottish Procurement Alliance), Thames Water, and Sainsbury’s.
