JR Scaffold’s winter ball raises £111,845 for charity

JR Scaffold Services has marked its 25th anniversary with a Winter Wonderland Ball in Glasgow, raising £111,845 for the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation.

The business reached the quarter of a century milestone in 2020 but due to the pandemic, celebrations were delayed until now.

A number of auction prizes were up for grabs on the night, with the JR team revealing it was ‘overwhelmed’ at the generosity from those attending.

MD John Horne said, “We wanted to celebrate our 25-year milestone in style and although we have had to wait nearly two years, we certainly made sure it was a milestone we won’t forget.

“We have come a long way in our 25 years in business and are proud of our success, however it is important to remember our roots and ensure we continue to give back when we can. Our 25th birthday is no different and we are overwhelmed at the level of support and funds raised across the evening.

“I would like to thank our team, our friends and our suppliers for their ongoing support and generosity and we look forward to presenting the cheque to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation very soon.”

The Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation is a cancer charity formed by the Smillie Family in 2016.
