A £1,000 donation from housebuilder Stewart Milne Homes will be used towards the purchase of Christmas lights for the local community in East Linton.
Ahead of the annual High Street Christmas light switch, the East Linton Christmas Lights committee has praised local organisations for their support in boosting funds for the display.
In recognition of the donations, the committee will display stars with the supporting business’ names printed on them on the Christmas tree, which will be located in the village square.
Tony Williamson, sales and marketing director at Stewart Milne Homes, said, “Supporting the local community around our development, The Orchard in East Linton, is very important to Stewart Milne Homes and we are delighted that we can help the committee to fund some extra festive lights that will be enjoyed for years to come. It is just a small gesture to support the wonderful community spirit in the town.”
