THE winners of the Homes for Scotland Awards have been announced. Barratt and David Wilson Homes took the Home Builder of the Year prize, while Wheatley Group was awarded RSL of the Year in a ceremony that was announced virtually for the first time.
The programme for 2020 and 2021 amalgamated due to last year’s pandemic-related lockdown.
HFS chief executive Nicola Barclay said, “Given the challenges of the last 18 months, it really is testament to the resilience of those delivering the much-needed homes of all tenures that are required and the esteem in which our awards are held that we have been able to go ahead at all. The HFS awards are renowned for their rigorous judging process which means making it to the shortlist is a major achievement in itself.
“Thanks to the commitment of our independent judging panel in undertaking site visits and interviews in dramatically different circumstances right across the country, we have been able to ensure the same high standards. I am therefore delighted for all our finalists, not only this year’s ultimate winners.”
