DOIG+Smith has welcomed two new senior recruits to its Aberdeen office following a ‘spike in work’ in the north east of Scotland.
The appointments see Scott Ramsay and Iain Taylor join as technical directors, with Mr Ramsay’s role focusing on project management and Mr Taylor’s on commercial delivery.
Mr Ramsay’s previous role at Aberdeen City Council saw him deliver The Events Complex Aberdeen (TECA), while Mr Taylor brings over 20 years of experience in both project management and quantity surveying to the role.
Doig+Smith said the new additions to the Aberdeen office follow an increase in business in the north east, with it recognising an opportunity for continued growth.
Ian Jamieson, Doig+Smith director and head of operations in Aberdeen, commented, “We have had a team on the ground in Aberdeen for over 15 years now and in this time, we’ve supported some of the city’s most important projects including Aberdeen Airport, the University of Aberdeen, Marischal College, Robert Gordon’s College and the ongoing expansion project at Aberdeen Harbour.
“We are now seeing an increasing demand for projects in this territory and though we have already established a sterling reputation here in the north east, we know how important it is to build on this.
“Scott and Iain will be excellent additions to our Aberdeen team, with both professionals excelling in their respective disciplines. The experience and skills they bring to our organisation is evident and will benefit clients and staff alike. I look forward to working with both Scott and Iain in the months and years ahead and hope they will enjoy working at Doig+Smith.”
