CUSHMAN & Wakefield has strengthened its Scottish real estate team with the appointment of Jane Smith and Nicola Wright.
Senior surveyor Jane joins the company from Workman in Glasgow, after spending more than seven years there in the commercial team. In her new role as part of the asset services team in Glasgow, she will be focusing on managing office and retail properties.
Also formerly from Workman, Nicola has joined the project & development services (building consultancy) team as a senior surveyor and will primarily be based in Edinburgh.
Stuart Dorward, head of Scotland for Cushman & Wakefield, said, “It’s great to be in a position to expand the team in these really key areas for the business and both Jane and Nicola are extremely talented individuals and very well respected within the industry.”
Jane, who is from Renfrew, added, “It is a real honour to join a company with Cushman & Wakefield’s global reach and reputation. It is an exciting time of real change for asset management as companies re-evaluate what the role of the modern office is with more emphasis on wellbeing and making offices enjoyable and safe places to be.”
Nicola, who is from High Valleyfield near Dunfermline, added, “Now is a fantastic time to be in building consultancy as Scotland gears up again as we come out of the pandemic. There is a real feeling of renewed optimism in the industry, I can’t remember a time like it. I am excited to join Cushman & Wakefield as it is a well-recognised and reputable organisation that has a lot to offer in terms of learning and growth.”
