Taylor Wimpey progresses plans for Monifieth development

TAYLOR Wimpey East has completed two online consultation events on the planned build of 40-50 new homes in Monifieth.

The firm said that it now plans on submitting an application for planning permission in principle to Angus Council in October.

The proposed development is bound by the A92 to the north and Victoria Street to the south, with Taylor Wimpey’s almost completed Victoria Grange development nearby.

It aims to provide a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes – of which, 25% will be affordable.

Pauline Mills, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey, said, “Public consultations are an excellent way for us to listen to the views of the community in which we intend to deliver new homes, and these online events have been an important part of the process as we refine our outline proposals to provide a modest extension to our current Victoria Grange development on the land at Victoria Street in Monifieth.

“We were pleased that members of the local community took the time to come engage with us on both public consultation events. We will now review all the feedback and comments that we have received in order to fully inform the design of our emerging masterplan for the development, before making our planning application for Planning Permission in Principle to Angus Council.”
