Engineering specialist looks to double revenues in next two years

ROSYTH-based engineering specialist TDC Parsons Peebles has announced it is celebrating a ‘strong’ performance, a year after being acquired by Aberdeen-headquartered TDC Group.

The business revealed it is aiming to double revenues over the next two years.

With a trading history spanning more than 120 years, TDC Parsons Peebles manufactures and repairs medium and high voltage electric motors and generators for ‘mission critical’ industries.

Sean Taylor, general manager at TDC Parsons Peebles, said, “I am immensely proud of my team for their hard work and commitment over the last 12 months. We were extremely fortunate to have been acquired by the TDC Group. As a dynamic and fast growing group, they could see the potential in us, with our long history of quality and innovation coupled with our unique facility including the most advanced test centre in the UK, if not Europe.

“The next few years are going to be exciting for TDC Parsons Peebles. We will continue to operate and support our valued clients in our traditional markets at the same time, however, we are excited to see the opportunities that will come as a result of the global energy transition. The success of this transition will rely on a robust, capable and experienced supply chain, and I am confident that our 120 years of continual innovation will stand us in good stead for this huge developing market.”

Neil Milne, MD at TDC Group, added, “Acquiring Parsons Peebles was a key strategic decision for us.  Being able to add high voltage manufacturing and repair capabilities to our broad engineering portfolio enhances our already extensive offering, this increased from 5MW pre acquisition of Parsons Peebles to 50MW post acquisition.

“Not only does this complement our current service and product range, but clients are also benefiting from the much wider spectrum of electrical and mechanical services delivered from the combined Aberdeen and Rosyth facilities.”
