Trio of Aberdeen project managers honoured with industry award

THREE CALA Homes (North) project managers have been honoured with an award from the National Home Building Council (NHBC).

The work of Ross Black, Fred Anderson and Rob Swanson has been recognised in the 2021 Pride in the Job Quality Awards, with the trip joining 16 project managers from across the CALA Group to receive the accolade.

More than 11,000 project managers across the UK were assessed this year, with 450 winners selected.

The three CALA North project managers will now go through to the next stage of the competition, the Seal of Excellence, which will be announced later this year.

The accreditation will be Fred Anderson’s 13th NHBC award and his fourth consecutively for CALA’s Mains of Grandhome development, while Ross Black and Rob Swanson both pick up their third consecutive awards for Craibstone Estate and Milltimber Manor respectively.

Mike Naysmith, MD for CALA Homes North, said, “The Pride in the Job Awards recognise project managers who, along with their teams and sub-contractors deliver excellence for our customers every day. It is our teams both on the ground and working behind the scenes in our office, led by our project managers, who bring our homes to life, ensuring the vision for each development is delivered on time, safely and to the highest quality standards.

“Over the past year, more than any other, project managers have had to overcome unprecedented challenges, but the commitment from Fred, Rob and Ross and their teams to deliver the highest quality standards has been unwavering. We wish each CALA team nominated all the best of luck as the awards progress on to the next stage.”
