TAYLOR Wimpey East Scotland has announced construction work is underway on new homes at its West Craigs development on the outskirts of west Edinburgh.
The site will deliver 250 new homes of varying size, 25% of which will be affordable properties.
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said the development represents a ‘significant’ investment in the local area, and includes contributions of almost £5 million towards education and transport.
Pauline Mills, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said, “Following a significant programme of pre-construction work, we are very happy to have started building our range of new homes at West Craigs as planned this week and on target. This progress signals a further and significant step in the delivery of our first development on the western side of the city for some time.”
The project is supporting over 160 construction jobs annually.
