New homes for social rent delivered in Glenrothes

KINGDOM Housing Association has delivered six new homes in Glenrothes for social rent and handed them over to Glen Housing Association.

The £1.6 million development, built by Campion Homes, provides a mix of energy efficient cottage flats and bungalows that meet housing for varying needs, secured by design, greener standards and the Fife Housing Association Alliance’s own design standards.

Scott Kirkpatrick, Kingdom’s director of development, said, “This has been a particularly rewarding Alliance partnership development with Anne and her team at Glen, establishing innovative ways to fund this development within our alliance transfer model.”

Anne Dickie, Glen’s director, added, “It’s been a pleasure, and also no small challenge, for all of us at Glen, Kingdom and Campion to design and build these wonderful new homes for so many children and young people supported by Aberlour. To know that these properties will help them to live their lives to the full and  enable young people to become more independent is very encouraging.”
