CCG in recruitment drive to support expanding project portfolio

CCG has announced the appointment of five new trainee assistant site managers as part of a recruitment drive to support an expansion of construction projects across Scotland.

The Glasgow-based contractor revealed the new recruits have joined the business alongside a further intake of trainees across roles in health & safety, estimating, buying and surveying. They will help support CCG’s affordable housebuilding programme and project within the care and education sectors.

Bernie Rooney, group financial director, said, “CCG’s reputation as a business is built upon an honest approach to our work; building relationships that are derived from the ground up on and a customer commitment that strives for excellence in everything we do. Our people are hugely important to that process and that is why we continue to invest in skills and development to deliver the very highest standards of service for our clients and partners.”

CCG is also set to introduce up to 13 new apprentices this August. Having announced the intake earlier this year, youngsters aged 16 and above will enter into a four-year programme across trades such as bricklaying, plumbing and joinery as well as roles in vocational training.
