Contractor brings some Easter cheer to Scottish charities

Projects director Andrew Dallas and construction administration manager Gayle O’Hear

THE JR Group has donated 800 Easter eggs to six charities across Scotland.

The Paisley-headquartered company said the chocolate treats have been donated by staff from across the business, as well as suppliers and contractors.

The haul was shared between Kindness Homeless Street Team in Glasgow, Glasgow City Mission Child & Family Centre in Govan, Jeely Piece Club in Castlemilk, Kirkcaldy Foodbank, Glasgow North East Foodbank and Beech Avenue Children’s Home in Paisley.

Gayle O’Hear, construction administration manager, was responsible for coordinating the company’s efforts for the Easter donation. She said, “We’re delighted to be able to gift so many different local causes with a share of 800 chocolate Easter eggs ahead of the school holidays thanks to our generous team members, suppliers and contractors.

“Unfortunately, there are so many children living in difficult circumstances who, without help from local charities and foodbanks, may go without a simple Easter treat that so many take for granted. We’re proud to play our part in ensuring as many kids as possible will benefit from our donation and would like to thank everyone who contributed. We’ve had such wonderful feedback from the beneficiaries of the donations, and we’re proud to make even a small difference to the children who benefit from the work of each of the charities in Glasgow, Fife and Paisley.”
