SCOTLAND’S first minister has said that halting non-essential construction is being considered, but no decision has been made as of yet.

Speaking at today’s (January 8) daily briefing, Nicola Sturgeon said, “We will be considering whether any other restrictions are required just to make sure this lockdown is as effective as it needs to be, because it needs to be effective.”

She continued by listing non-essential construction, click and collect and food takeaways as examples of areas that could face tougher restrictions. She added, “These are the areas we are considering. We haven’t reached decisions yet.”
