Housebuilder reports increased demand for larger properties

BARRATT Developments is reporting a rise in interest for its Osprey Heights development in Inverurie following the launch of larger house types.

The housebuilder revealed buyers are discovering a new range of three, four and five-bedroom homes after the latest phase of development was unveiled.

Barratt said that with the Covid-19 pandemic continuing, many buyers are moving away from cities to more suburban or semi-rural settings.

Barratt North Scotland’s sales and marketing director, Mike Cowie, commented, “Over the past year, we have all spent an unprecedented amount of time within our homes and many have realised that their current abode is no longer fit for purpose and it’s time to move on up and move on out.

“Developments like Osprey Heights not only boast a fantastic product offering where buyers can enjoy the benefits of a larger property, they don’t have to compromise on location. Nature, open space and the countryside are on its doorstep, alongside a range of excellent local businesses, amenities and a bustling town centre.”
