HOUSING association Ayrshire Housing has appointed Cruden Building to deliver a £7 million affordable housing development in Troon.
Work is due to start on site next month and will see 52 new affordable homes being built, contributing to a 600-plus new homes expansion masterplan for the north east of the town which includes both private and affordable housing.
The 52 new homes will comprise of new two and three-bedroomed semi-detached houses and two-bedroomed cottage flats for social rent. The new development will also include parking and a fully landscaped village green with outdoor play facilities.

ARPL Architects have designed the homes with long-term flexibility in mind and which set new standards for us in terms of energy efficiency. They have been assisted by engineers McColm Design and quantity surveyors M B Langmuir and Hay. We are also grateful for the support of house builder Lynch Homes who provided the serviced development site.”
