FALKIRK Council has appointed three firms to help it transform a former travel agent building into modern office space as part of a £1 million project.

Michael Laird Architects, engineering firm DSSR, and engineering and design consultants BakerHicks have been contracted for the development which will be led by hub East Scotland, and comes within the wider £45 million plan to build a new council headquarters.

Lesley Malkin, project manager, said, “Working with hub East Scotland, our delivery partners, we have been able to appoint three leading contractors whose experience in their individual fields is second-to-none. Their expertise and knowledge will help us move quickly to the next stage of the project, and help the Council take a significant step forward in its transformation.”
