Ground broken on ‘landmark’ £15m extension

AMBASSADOR Group has announced the official groundbreaking on a £15 million ‘landmark’ development on one of its properties at the Alba Campus in Livingston.

The property investment and development firm said that an extension of 50,000 square feet to the building, which represents a 30% increase in floor space, will bring up to 120 new jobs to the area once complete.

The work is being led by Muir Construction, with Ambassador Group anticipating the project to take approximately 15 months to complete.

Chris Richardson, managing director of Ambassador Investments, said, “Ambassador Group is investing heavily in this landmark development, which is great for the local economy and for the wider Scottish economy. We recognise that to keep businesses that offer a fundamental service, we must grow and evolve with them, so we are pleased to be delivering a site that will secure their future here for years to come.

“This latest investment reinforces Scotland’s position as a global leader and is testament to the skilled workforce and diversity of the Scottish life science sector which continue to grow here in Scotland. We are delighted to play our part in ensuring its future.”

Other partners working with Ambassador Group to deliver the project are Thomas & Adamson, CBA Quantity Surveyors, Woolgar Hunter, Harley Haddow, BMJ Architects, DWF, Savills Planning and Santander.
