Face coverings to become mandatory in workplace canteens

THE wearing of face coverings is to become mandatory in workplace canteens, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced.

From Friday October 16, face coverings will be required to be worn in workplace canteens when not seated, when queuing, and when entering or leaving the facility. The rules also apply to workplace corridors and social spaces.

Nicola Sturgeon said, “The responsibility for complying with these measures rests with individuals. However, I would urge employers to take steps in their workplaces to explain and promote the new regulations.”
