CALA site manager earns NHBC recognition

John O’Brien

JOHN O’Brien, site manager for CALA Homes’ Gilchrist Gardens development in Erskine, has been honoured with a National Home Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

11,000 site managers across the UK were assessed this year, with only 450 winners selected. John is one of 17 CALA site managers to win one of this year’s awards. He will now go through to the next stage of the competition, the Seal of Excellence, which will be announced later this year.

Jim McIntyre, MD for CALA Homes (West) said, “These awards recognise an unwavering commitment to creating homes of the highest standard and are testament to the hard work of our site managers, as well as their wider teams and subcontractor partners. The past few months have been challenging for us all, but the commitment of our teams to deliver the best possible homes for our customers has not diminished. My thanks go to John and his team at Gilchrist Gardens for taking pride in the job, and delivering an exceptional development in Erskine.”

John O’Brien commented, “I’m delighted that the work at Gilchrist Gardens has been recognised, it is a great achievement. The full team has been incredibly supportive throughout and this accolade is testament to our collective commitment to ensuring we create a safe and productive working environment at the site. Given everything that has gone on in recent months, this has come at a really good time – I’m looking forward to the awards already.”
