Amey’s utilities business scores top marks after audit reviewed Scottish Water account

AMEY has revealed its utilities business scored 100% for the third year running in the external Achilles health and safety audit.

Achilles audited the utilities business in June, focusing on its Scottish Water account, and reviewed management and HSE processes with the local management team, leading to their awarding of full marks.

Amey said the Achilles platform means the business can showcase its audit score alongside its qualifications and demonstrate compliance across a whole host of criteria – such as health and safety, quality and social responsibility. This year the company had the added dimension of showing how it has managed its response to Covid-19.

Gerry Mulholland, director of HSEQ for utilities said, “I’m very proud that the business has achieved a 100% again. Achieving this score three years running is very rare, and a testament to our hard work to push towards our company’s Zero harm goal.”
