BEATSON’S Building Supplies has agreed a partnership with a composite decking manufacturer to become Scotland’s sole stockists of a new product.
Beatson’s, which has five builders’ merchant branches across Scotland, will be the first supplier of Composite Prime’s HD Deck 3D – described as an eco-friendly composite deck with the look and feel of real timber.
The firm said the move comes as consumer interest in decking reaches an all-time high, according to data from Google.
Ross Marshall, director at Beatson’s Building Supplies said, “We have enjoyed a great relationship with Composite Prime for a number of years, and are proud to be the first supplier of Composite Prime’s new market leading product.”
HD Deck 3D, which is available in four colours, is made from FSC 100% hardwood flour and recycled plastic. It joins HD Deck XS and HD Deck Dual, both of which are already available through Beatson’s branches in Alloa, Cumbernauld, Penicuik, Dunfermline and Stirling.
Composite Prime director Charles Taylor added, “Consumers are wanting something to do whilst on lockdown – they are cancelling holidays and accepting the fact that this summer they may be staying at home, thus disposable income is going into home improvements such as making their garden and outside spaces more appealing.”
