AN office in Aberdeen has been awarded the Wired certification gold rating in recognition of its digital connectivity and infrastructure.
Union Plaza received the award, which is achieved by office buildings which have been designed to incorporate reliable, flexible connectivity features that meet and exceed tenants’ digital requirements.
The building recently underwent an ‘extensive’ £1.75 million refurbishment, which saw the addition of a new business lounge, flexible meeting rooms, modern working spaces and investment in Union Plaza’s digital infrastructure.
Nina Friedrich, partnership manager at WiredScore, said, “Union Plaza’s gold rating demonstrates that WiredScore has recognised the building’s owner LGIM Real Assets (Legal & General) as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking landlords. They have realised the immense value of investing in flexible and reliable digital infrastructure to provide a superior experience for tenants.”
Dan Smith, director and head of office at Savills, which is marketing the suites at Union Plaza with Knight Frank, said, “Achieving a Wired Certified Gold Rating confirms our commitment to providing the very best facilities and the highest level of service to our tenants. This certification is a trusted benchmark for commercial property, which assures existing and potential occupiers that they will benefit from excellent digital connectivity.
“The refurbishment of Union Plaza provides existing and future tenants with the very highest quality of office accommodation in what is one of the most desirable business addresses in the city. Being named as the only office building in Aberdeen to achieve gold rating reinforces the outstanding level of service we provide for the businesses that are located here.”
