Maxi secures contract at Livingston campus

MAXI Construction has been awarded a contract by West Lothian Council for Phase 3 and 4 works at Ogilvie School Campus in Livingston.

The works include the construction of two extensions to the existing school to provide three new classrooms and a general purpose room; substantial internal refurbishment works to parts of the existing building; and external works including new play areas and a refurbished car park.

The project team includes West Lothian Council Construction Services as architect, Wardell Armstrong as civil & structural engineer, David R Murray & Associates as M&E engineer and Brownriggs as CDM advisor.

The start date will be confirmed once government guidance has been provided about a return date for non-essential construction work.

Maxi construction MD John Aitchison said, “The award of this contract at this difficult time for the construction industry provides some security for our employees and supply chain members. We’re also delighted to build on our extensive experience of delivering extension and refurbishment works in live school environments.”

West Lothian’s executive councillor for education David Dodds said, “West Lothian has one of the best school estates in the country, and we are committed to investing to ensure all our pupils have the best possible platform for learning. I look forward to seeing work continue at Ogilvie School Campus when conditions allow.”
