£5,000 was raised for charity at the Women in Property Central Scotland branch annual dinner, held at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh.
The cash will go to Music In Hospitals & Care after 200+ property and construction specialists came together to celebrate the industry and the diversity of its people.
Samantha McCabe, outgoing branch chairman of Women in Property said, “We are so happy that not only did everyone have a great time at the dinner but, better still, we all got together to raise money to help this wonderful charity. I would like to thank our sponsors BAM Construction, Will Rudd and Barton Willmore, whose support enabled us to organise a fabulous event and thanks too to Women in Property members and their guests for turning out in such enthusiastic numbers.”
Barbara Osborne, chief executive of Music in Hospitals & Care, spoke of the work done by the charity. She said, “Our sessions are designed to reach and connect people, encourage communication, meaningful interactions and evoke emotions and memories. Since 1948 our aim has been to overcome barriers which prevent people, regardless of their health or wellbeing, from accessing the therapeutic benefits of live music, from lullabies for babies in neonatal units to old favourites for those living with dementia. Thank you to all of you for your support in making this happen.”
