INTERSERVE Group Limited has appointed George Restall as the new finance director of its UK construction business.
He will take over from Mark Goldsworthy from April 3. Interserve stated he will bring ‘considerable expertise and experience’, having trained at Taylor Woodrow Construction where he rose to become group finance director. More recently he has held senior finance roles including divisional finance director at Barratt Homes, and UK chief financial officer at SPIE Matthew Hall.
Paul Gandy, MD of Interserve Construction said, “We are delighted to welcome George to Interserve. His experience in the UK construction sector will be invaluable in delivering Interserve Construction’s long-term strategy for sustainable growth which targets the core areas where we have a market-leading customer proposition for key public and private clients including education and healthcare. This will reinforce our success in securing sustainable, profitable work under long-term framework agreements.
“I would like to thank Mark Goldsworthy for his exceptional support to the construction division over the past few years and wish him well in his future career.”
George Restall commented on his new role: “I am very pleased to be joining Interserve at this time. Interserve Construction has an exceptional reputation for delivering outstanding projects across a range of sectors and is well positioned for future growth having recently being appointed to several major framework agreements including the £30bn Crown Commercial Services Construction Framework and £2bn YORcivil Major Works Framework Agreement for Yorkshire and Humberside.”
