THE deadline is looming in the search for Scotland’s most socially impactful building project.
The 2020 RICS Social Impact Awards recognise projects across Scotland that are helping to transform communities and positively impact the lives of residents and visitors.
Entries are being sought for RICS Social Impact Awards – the new name for the long-standing RICS Awards – which includes nine category awards – Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Infrastructure, Land & Rural, Leisure, Residential and Student Accommodation.
Awards will be judged across criteria that includes sustainability and how they have enhanced lives and communities. The overall ‘Project of the Year, Scotland’ title will be awarded to the category winner that demonstrates ‘inspirational best practice’ and a significant wider social contribution.
All category winners from Scotland will then go compete against other regional winners in the RICS Social Impact Awards Grand Final in October.
The deadline to enter the 2020 RICS Social Impact Awards, Scotland, is 31 January 2020. More information can be found at www.rics.org/awards
