GLENROTHES-headquartered Kingdom Housing Association has won two gongs at the TPAS Scotland Good Practice Awards.
At a ceremony in St Andrews, the organisation was crowned Tenant Participation Champion of the Year: New Tenant, Resident or Staff Members; and Tenant Participation Champion of the Year: Organisation.
Max Scotto, Kingdom’s tenant participation officer and winner of the Tenant Participant Champion of the Year in the New Tenant, Resident or Staff Member category said, “Tenant Participation has become an embedded practice in the association’s processes. Much of this is due to the vision of Kingdom’s board and leadership of group chief executive Bill Banks and head of housing, Matthew Busher. But it’s also a reflection of the hard work and commitment of other staff as well as tenants on our scrutiny panel, whose ages range from 16 to 80.”
Head of housing Matthew Busher added, “We are delighted to have been adjudged as winners amongst some pretty stiff competition. This reflects really well on the efforts that all at Kingdom are making, and in particular our TP officer Max Scotto. We’re also grateful for all the efforts of our tenant scrutiny panel and all tenants who engage in TP activities, without whom we would not be where we are. Whilst we are celebrating our success, we see this as a stepping stone on a journey to continuously improve the range of opportunities that we provide for our tenants to have a meaningful influence in decision making.”
