CRUDEN Building has landed a £7.2 million pound contract to redevelop former public halls in Glasgow.
ng Homes has appointed the firm to the project, which will see delivery of 49 flats along with a commercial unit, within a new building on the site of the former Burgh Halls in Springburn, in the north east of the city.
The development is due for completion in 2021. 21 of the flats will be available on a mid-market rental basis with the remaining 28 homes for social rental.
Allan Callaghan, MD for Cruden Building said, “We are delighted to work with ng homes on the redevelopment of this site to provide much needed housing for the area and a commercial space. As with all Cruden Group developments, we will also support the local residents by providing a range of community benefits including valuable jobs and training opportunities during the build.”
ng homes’ chairperson John Thorburn added, “ng homes is proud to appoint Cruden Building to develop the former Springburn Halls site. The new development is part of ng homes’ ongoing commitment to regenerating north Glasgow by providing much needed homes and commercial opportunities.”
