DHL Express and Torishima Service Solutions Europe Ltd (TSSE) are setting up home at Clyde Gateway East Business Park in Glasgow, in a move that brings 145 jobs to the area.
TSSE is the European arm of the Torishima Pump Manufacturing Company, a global provider of pumping system installations and aftermarket support services. TSSE has taken the 2,550 square metre Unit 201, developed speculatively by Clyde Gateway Developments Limited, on a 15-year lease as its new European HQ, bringing 50 skilled engineering jobs to the area.
Meanwhile, global logistics company DHL Express has agreed a pre-let for a new service centre facility that will be built on Plot 4 at Clyde Gateway East Business Park. The move will see relocation of their current team, bringing a further 95 jobs to the area.
The 1.94 hectare Plot 4 site has been acquired from Clyde Gateway by Harris Finance, who will develop out the new bespoke distribution and office facility on behalf of DHL Express.
Ian Manson, chief executive at Clyde Gateway said, “We are delighted to attract two leading global brands to Clyde Gateway East, confirming its credentials as a leading industrial location. On the back of our site assembly, infrastructure investment and marketing efforts, Clyde Gateway East is one of the few locations where industrial units have been built speculatively in recent years and has been extremely successful in attracting high quality businesses. It all contributes to the wider transformation of Clyde Gateway, creating new opportunities for local businesses and people.”
