THE Veitchi Group has confirmed its largest ever intake of apprentices, with 12 new recruits making up the Class of 2019.
The move follows the firm’s first apprentice induction day last month at its trade school, a purpose-built facility at its Cambuslang base.
The apprenticeships are in decorative floor laying, dry lining and joinery with the students spread across Veitchi’s group divisions.
“Developing and nurturing young talent is vital not only to the continued success of the Veitchi Group but also to the wider construction industry,” said group MD Jim Preston. “The induction day was a great success and gave the apprentices an insight into the workings of the Veitchi Group and the high standards set across our companies.”
All of the apprentices are enrolled onto four-year courses at colleges across Scotland. They will return to the trade school in six months time to review their progress.
