Scottish Property Awards to return to Edinburgh

ORGANISERS of the Scottish Property Awards have announced the annual event will return to Edinburgh in 2020 for the first time in three years.

Taking place on 20 February at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the awards celebrate the best in Scottish property and bring together the likes of contractors, developers and architects.

Entries are now being sought ahead of the October 30 deadline. The judging panel will be chaired for the fifth year by Fiona Morton, the former managing partner and chair of Ryden. Alan Robertson, formerly JLL CEO for the Middle East & North Africa region, is taking on the new role of vice chair.

Fiona Morton said, “The Scottish Property Awards continues to play an important role in the promotion of new property development across Scotland. It is a privilege to be part of the very thorough decision-making process involved and I look forward to debating the achievements of a wide range of projects and teams with the judging panel in November.   I am especially thrilled to welcome Alan Robertson as our new vice chair of the panel.”

Alan Robertson, who is now a non-executive director of Drum Income Plus REIT plc and a director of Struan Property Ltd, added, “I’ve been very impressed by the Scottish Property Awards and its independent operation which trusts a large and experienced panel of judges to make the important decisions. I am very much looking forward to assessing and ultimately celebrating the many achievements in commercial and public property this year.”
