AN open day is to be held to provide local tradespeople with information about the opportunities that exist on a new 50-unit housing project at Claish Farm in Callander.
Taking place between 10am and 3pm on Friday August 16 at Forth Valley College in Stirling, the event is being organised by housing developer Lovell Partnerships, who will be developing the scheme after final approvals on behalf of Rural Stirling Housing Association.
Located adjacent to McLaren Leisure Centre in Callander, plans comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes and a number of two and three-bedroom bungalows catered to the needs of disabled residents. The development will also include a community recreation area and children’s playground as well as a new pedestrian footpath link to the local primary school and the McLaren Leisure Centre.
Local subcontractors interested in attending the open day can register their interest by emailing bizdev.scotland@lovell.co.uk.
Kevin McColgan, regional MD for Lovell said, “We are delighted to be working with Rural Stirling Housing Association to deliver 50 much needed new social rented homes in Callander. We are keen to ensure that this development offers real opportunities for local tradespeople in the Callendar area.
“With our already strong partner base the open day is a fantastic opportunity for local trades and the community to work alongside our experienced team. We would encourage anyone interested in tendering for work connected to this project to take the opportunity to come along to the Open Day at Forth Valley College, to meet our team and to find out more.”
