Kinross contractor wins new housing contract

KINROSS-based contractor Webster Developments has announced it has won its latest contract from Caledonia Housing Association in Perth.

The £1.1 million development for Caledonia HA will see the firm create six new-build, one-bedroom apartments, plus a renovation of an existing building to create another apartment, on the site at Crieff Road. All the homes will be available for affordable rent by Caledonia Housing Association.

Webster previously worked for Caledonia Housing Association in 2017, constructing five new-build flats on what was an old garage lock-up site in Milnathort.

Founder Daniel Webster said, “We’re delighted to win another prestigious contract from Caledonia Housing Association, which now becomes our largest to date. Private and public sector work in Perth & Kinross is where it all began for us, although, increasingly, we are working all over Scotland with contracts stretching as far as the Isle of Skye. We are keen to win more Housing Association work and believe we can already demonstrate a solid track record delivering for this sector on time and on budget.

“This will consolidate our relationship with Caledonia further, and we can’t wait to get started on the development, which has an estimated completion time of spring 2020. We excel at new build, as we contract for our own private housing division, Webster Homes, but we are also adept at giving old buildings a new use.”

Andrew Kilpatrick, director of assets at Caledonia Housing Association added, “We are delighted to be working with local contractor, Webster Developments, on this redevelopment of land on Crieff Road to bring more affordable homes for rent to Perth.”
