CLARK Contracts has announced that three of its employees have graduated with BSc Honours degrees from Glasgow Caledonian University’s School of Engineering and the Built Environment.
The construction management students originally joined Clark Contracts to complete six-month work placements and were offered permanent contracts with the opportunity to complete their studies while working part-time. All three will now take up full-time posts at the company.
Gordon Cunningham, MD at Clark Contracts said, “We look forward to continuing to support our graduates as they progress through their careers and potentially enrol in our bespoke masters course at Glasgow Caledonian University. They have worked very hard with us over the last couple of years studying whilst gaining hands on experience so it is fantastic for them to reach this goal.”
Clark Contracts said it annually offers work experience placements to students, with eleven new students from Glasgow Caledonian University and Edinburgh Napier University having joined the company in May this year.
Over 20% of the firm’s employees are currently studying towards formal qualifications through Clark Contracts’ academy, with the company investing £500,000 in training last year.
