Milestone for £4.8m Royal Highland Centre pavilion

A topping out ceremony has been held to mark a crucial milestone in the construction of a new mixed-use building at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston.

The ceremony coincided with the start of the the Royal Highland Show, which takes place at the venue. The Ingliston site is also home to the biennial ScotPlant exhibition.

Robertson is building the £4.8 million event space for the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). The facility is due to complete in spring 2020.

Featuring around 18,800 square feet of flexible space, the building will be able to accommodate conferences and meetings, while a raised viewing gallery will offer views over the main show arena.
