ROBINSONS Scotland MD Ryan Brown has been named Regional Director of the Year for the south of Scotland in the small/medium business category at the Institute of Director Awards.
Ryan founded the Lockerbie-based company alongside his father Jim in 2005. Since then the firm, which offers a range of manufacturing and construction services, has grown to five businesses and employs 116 people – with further expansion plans in the pipeline.
Ryan said, “Winning this award has been a great achievement for me. I was delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist in this category, especially with the calibre of nominees this year. Eddie Black and the Eco-Genics team are certainly worthy competition and a big congratulations to him and his team; the awards are a great initiative to promote business to the wider audience and provide a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.
“Winning this award is testament to the hard work of our entire team as I couldn’t have achieved this success without them and I would like to take the time to give a special thanks to my dad Jim Brown, our chairman, for all his support and encouragement.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years to reach our goals and grow our business. I look forward to what the future holds with our ambitious expansion plans.”
